Phoenix-area gas prices sharply rise again

Arizona gas prices have risen 48 cents over the past week, with prices averaging $4.06 a gallon according to the AAA website.

In the metro Phoenix area, gas has risen 54 cents in the past week to $4.34 a gallon on average.

“Oil prices are still the main driver for gas prices right now,” said AAA Arizona spokesperson Julian Paredes. “The oil market has been chaotic for almost two weeks now, and that’s driven up prices everywhere, not just Phoenix.
