Gas prices in the Valley rose another 25 cents this week, climbing to $4.37 a gallon according to a release from AAA Arizona on Thursday.
“Rising crude oil prices are behind the spike at the pump,” said Aldo Vazquez, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group. “Volatility along the Strait of Hormuz and instability in the region have pushed oil prices into the $90 per barrel range and could continue driving up costs during the second half of the summer.”
The state average rose 18 cents a gallon from the previous week to land at $4.34 a gallon.
