With another 20 cent jump per gallon in gas prices in the past week, gas in Arizona has jumped $1.37 during the past month to sit at an average of $4.63 a gallon.
In the Valley, prices have surged $1.42 a gallon in the same time frame to sit at an average of $4.92 a gallon, according to information on March 27 from AAA.
“The national average could reach $4 a gallon in the coming days for the first time since August 2022,” said Julian Paredes, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group in a release. “Gasoline demand remains on the rise as spring break season continues, another factor in surging pump prices.”
