Garry W. Mclenaghan, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at home in Sun City West.Born in Wilkie, Saskatchewan April 25, 1940 his family moved to Yakima, WA in 1951 to join maternal grandparents and other family. Here he met and married his wife, Joanne Beach.After a Stint in the Army, serving in Germany, Garry and his family moved to Seattle where he served first in the Seattle Fire Department and then in the Seattle Police Department from which he retired after a twenty-three-year career. During that time, he performed with the Seattle Police motorcycle drill team. After retirement he went into business in the private sector with his son's.He leaves behind the love of his life, Joanne, married for 61 years. Three son's; Bradley (Jodie) Robert (Connie), Kevin (Susie). Six grandchildren and twelve Great Grandchildren. All of the Seattle area. He also leaves two Brothers, Alvin and Errol and sister Shirley Mellum (Don). We will all miss his wit and sense of humor.After retiring to Sun City West Garry stayed active joining the Sun City West Metal Club and the Sun City West Computer Club area until his health prohibited his participation.In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be sent to the Seattle Police Guild or the Parkinson Foundation.Please join Garry's family in sharing memories, pictures or videos on his tribute wall at www.caminodelsol.com.
