Garrett Stephen Peters, 22, resident of Surprise, AZ passed away on September 5, 2021 in San Diego, CA. He was born in Glendale, AZ to Chris and Karen (Keller) Peters.

Garrett recently finished serving 4 years in the U.S. Navy and is a graduate of Shadow Ridge High School. He loved playing baseball, being outdoors and being at the beach watching the sun sets. His smile and kind heart were infectious. He had the wonderful opportunity to make friends world-wide while in the Navy and cherished his family and friends here in Arizona. He was proud to have participated in the United States Marine Corps Devil Pups program for 3 years which led to him proudly serving in the Navy.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Marlene Peters: grandfather, Herman Keller and uncle, Shawn Keller. Garrett is survived by his parents and sister, Sydney Peters (Jeremy) Henige. Grandparents Ron and Al-Lynn Peters and Grandmother Josie Keller. His aunt Karen Peters Regnier, uncles Brad (Debbie) Peters, Greg (Rhonda) Peters and Marty (Bernadette) Keller and many wonderful great uncles and aunts, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, October 1, 2021 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix.
