Garden grows international community alongside plants in Glendale

Heart for the City has gardeners from around world

The Heart for the City Community Garden brings together gardeners, plants and dishes from Bangladesh, Peru, Africa, Mexico, Thailand, Jordan, Hungary, China, Trinidad and Italy — among other countries of origin.

Were it only that the world outside the garden entrance was more like the community rooted in its rows of planters.
