A home owner in the Skyway Village Unit One subdivision west of Power Road and north of McKellips Road can construct a garage that encroaches 4 feet into the front setback, the Mesa Board of Adjustment decided recently.
The board on Nov. 2 voted 6-0 to approve a variance from the required front yard setback for an attached garage addition in the single residence district. Vice Chair Nicole Lynam was absent.
Ten neighbors spoke in favor of the project at the board meeting. An additional 12 comment cards were received in support and one in opposition.
