Gallitano, Simicek, Wilmeth continue to hold leads in LD2 elections

Democratic candidate Amelia Gallitano continues to hold a lead over incumbent Shawnna Bolick in the race for Senate in Arizona’s 2nd Legislative District in the latest updated numbers released early Wednesday morning.

Incumbent Democrat Stephanie Simicek and incumbent Republican Justin Wilmeth also hold leads over Paul Carver in the race for the district’s two House seats.

Gallitano has 37,251 votes for 56.1% of the vote in the Senate race, while Bolick has 29,182 votes for 43.9% of the vote.
