Silicon Valley Bank employees see hope with First Citizens takeover, however, the future of the former top bank’s presence in Tempe remains murky.
The closing of Silicon Valley Bank on March 10 brought chaos for all its offices around the country, including the several hundred employees who work out of Hayden Ferry Lakeside in Tempe.
SVB was already experiencing issues in the days leading up to the crash, with the final straw coming when its stock price dropped as customers, in a panic, attempted to withdraw $42 billion of investments.
