Mr. Judd had just finished up a demonstration at Liberty High School, as part of the Peoria Police Department’s Youth Citizen Police Academy. Mr. Judd had completed the demonstration and left the area where the students were and was involved in a collision, police said.

“Officer Judd was the finest of the finest," Peoria police Chief Art Miller said.
Mr. Judd leaves behind children and his wife, the latter who works for the Surprise Police Department.
“As a department, not only are we grieving the loss of a great man, we are coming together with our community to support the Judd family during this difficult time," stated David Barela, president of PPOA Charities. "We are incredibly grateful to our entire community for the outpouring of support we have received.”
