A man who has been on the run for four years to evade child pornography charges in Phoenix has been arrested and brought back to the city.
Glenn Bales, 51, was arrested in November 2018 and charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Bales was able to make bond but was given an ankle monitor.
In 2020, Bales severed the monitor and left the state. Phoenix Police along with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Task Force opened a federal fugitive investigation, which included help from the FBI and U.S. Border Patrol and spent four years looking for Bales.

A man who has been on the run for four years to evade child pornography charges in Phoenix has been arrested and brought back to the city.

Investigators received information in December that Bales was in Mexico living and working under the name Jacob Spade. He was identified by authorities, arrested in Mexico on the U.S. warrant, and deported back to the U.S. MCSO officials took custody of him on Monday in Los Angeles. He is being held in the Maricopa County Jail on a $1 million cash-only bond.
