Someburros is opening its 14th Arizona location next month in Peoria, and the restaurant chain has further expansion plans in 2023 that include north Phoenix and San Tan Valley.

Someburros will open a Peoria location in August at the northeast corner of 83rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

The Peoria restaurant, which features fast-casual dining, will open at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12.

“Peoria is the place for growth and opportunity, community and connection,” Tim Vasquez, owner and president, said.

“We can’t wait to be able to share my family’s well-loved recipes to serve a part of the Northwest Valley we haven’t been able to reach before.”

The Peoria location will offer a walk-up counter for dining room service and takeout ordering, and to-go ordering with a drive-thru. The indoor dining area covers 1,500 square feet, and outdoor dining is available on a 400-square-foot patio.

Since their first Tempe location in 1986, Someburros owners have opened several other restaurants, including Gilbert and Goodyear locations.

Owners said following the Peoria opening restaurants will open later this year in San Tan Valley and Norterra in north Phoenix.
