After the Sun City West Property Owners and Residents Association stepped up to the plate in 2021 to create a venue for local artisans to show and sell wares, the work began transforming the rooms at PORA into a magical space ready to fill with wonderful one-of-a-kind creations.

February 2022 arrived and the positive buzz abounded as guests finally saw Sun City West neighbor’s artistic talents and thrilled the old standbys at the Village Store were still available — think scrubbies and trivets, potholders and kitchenware. So it is functional.

What makes this gallery special is all the artisans are residents of Sun City West. The fine art portion of the gallery features artists that have shown their fabulous works on the national and international level. From National Best in Show framed paintings to metal wall hangings; from silver and turquoise jewelry to unique clay creations, there is always something at the gallery that will catch eyes. So it is fabulous.

In the past 12 months the gallery incorporated the popular First Friday Gallery Galas. Each month, talented artists are showcased in a meet-and-greet informal and fun atmosphere.

The first year of gallery operation will be celebrated in the First Anniversary Gallery Gala 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 3. All gallery artists and crafters will be honored. It will be an exciting evening with the opportunity to win a one-of-a-kind piece of art donated by many artists, light refreshments and a chance to meet the artists.

The del Sol Gallery constantly changes with new merchandise added daily.
