From black helicopters to drones: Technology heightens Arizona resident concerns

Fears abound illustrate battle between fact and fiction

It used to be some people were concerned that black government helicopters were circling their property spying upon them. With the advancement of technology, they’re now worried about drones.

A current popular television show included an episode in which police were called to investigate a neighborhood shooting. It turned out a homeowner shot down a drone that was operated over his property to get video of his wife sunbathing in the nude.

Real-life incidents, however, in Arizona have included interference with wildfire fighting operations, near collisions with aircraft near airports and a drone hovering over a college swim meet.
