The tradition of Friday the 13th tattoos comes up again this week as 2021’s lone Friday the 13th on the calendar arrives here in August. Shops participate in the tradition that typically charges only 13 bucks for small tattoos when a Friday the 13th lands, which is a much lower price than usual, although some shops vary their pricing points for what’s called “flash tattoos.”
The day can bring out rookies looking for an incentive to get that first ink, or regular enthusiasts who want to add to their designs and continue the Friday the 13th tradition.
