The Tempe Public Library has partnered with a local nonprofit to warn teens about the potential dangers of dating.
Earlier this month, the library, along with Peoria-based bloom365, held a free program to help teens cultivate healthy and safe relationships, free of abuse and violence. AMPLIFY: A Real Talk summer program was a five-day workshop offered to 12 to 18-year-olds and discussed topics such as self-esteem, conflict resolution, self-care and bias in relationships.
It was just one of many free programs the library offers up to the community, according to Jessica Jupitus, the city’s community services deputy director. Along with AMPLIFY, the library also hosts a book club, computer classes and writing workshops.
