HonorHealth Desert Mission Adult Day Health Center is offering a complimentary 10-week online series for family caregivers with loved ones with dementia.

The program, called Finding Meaning and Hope, was developed by Duet: Partners in Health & Aging.

Jeannette Vazquez-Morse, a social worker at Desert Mission, will lead the weekly, 90-minute Zoom sessions featuring videos and discussion designed to offer real hope for reducing stress, building resilience and staying healthy while family caregivers do the hard work of caregiving.

The program begins on Thursday, Jan. 11 and runs through March 14. Each online Zoom session will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. If these dates and times don’t work for family caregivers, additional meeting options can be found at www.duetaz.org.

Desert Mission Adult Day Health Center also provides monthly caregiver support group meetings every third Wednesday of the month from 11 a.m. to noon at HonorHealth Cowden Center, 9202 N. 2nd St., in Phoenix.

Discussion topics for the first quarter of the year will be Caregiver Needs & Family of Choice; Dementia: The Road to Acceptance & Maintaining A Grip; and Family Caregivers: Strengthening Ourselves through Human Connection.

Email Jeannette Vazquez-Morse at jemorse@honorhealth.com or call Desert Mission Adult Day at 602-786-1060 for more information or to RSVP.
