Free fall gardening classes available now in Phoenix

This Fall, Phoenix residents can sign up for a new series of free gardening classes offered through a partnership between the Phoenix Office of Environmental Programs and the Desert Botanical Garden.

As part of the 2030 Food Action Plan’s Strategic Priority 3, which focuses on expanding education and training for Phoenix residents, the series includes both virtual and in‑person sessions that cover seed saving, fall planting and garden to table cooking.

Classes began on Wednesday, Sept. 2 and continue through Saturday, Nov. 7, with Spanish interpretation available for all in‑person sessions held at the Desert Botanical Garden Community Garden inside Spaces of Opportunity at 1200 W. Vineyard Road in Phoenix.
