Wells Fargo is hosting a free Advancing Homeownership Fair and breakfast event in Phoenix.
The fair will bring information to Blacks, Latinos and Afro Latinos about immediate resources that will create more homeowners of color in Phoenix, according to a press release.
The gathering goes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Native American Connections, at 300 E. Indian School Road. The event will be in the Band Building at Steele Indian School Park located between Memorial Hall and the Dining Hall.
The fair will open with a free continental breakfast at 10 a.m. followed by a homeownership workshop 10:30-11:45 a.m., and the Community Partner Resource Fair 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m.
A 2021 UCLA study demonstrated that while Afro Latinos rank lowest in homeownership among all Latinos, they're ranked most educated of all Latinos and are mortgage-ready, according to the press release.
Wells Fargo is bringing the Advancing Homeownership Fair to Phoenix to help break barriers that Blacks, Latinos and Afro Latinos face during home buying.
Guests will learn about home purchasing, how to become mortgage-ready, and receive information about immediate resources that exist for down payment assistance and closing cost assistance.
Registration is free and encouraged here. Walk-ins are welcome.
