Fraternal Order of Police to host fundraising barbecues around the state for fallen DPS officers

The Arizona Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 32, in partnership with the Arizona State Troopers Association, will host a series of barbecue fundraisers across the state this month to support the families of two Arizona Department of Public Safety members killed in the line of duty.

The events will honor and benefit the families of DPS Trooper/Paramedic Hunter R. Bennett and Pilot Robert B. Skankey, both of whom died on Feb. 4 in a helicopter crash in Flagstaff.

The first two events will be held Feb. 12 at DPS Headquarters, 2102 W. Encanto Blvd. in Phoenix and the Flagstaff City Hall Parking Lot, 211 W. Aspen Ave. in Flagstaff from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
