Frankie Valli, due in Tempe in November, issues statement on his health

Legendary crooner has gone viral for recent live performances captured on video

With The Four Seasons in the 1960s, Frankie Valli went viral before anyone knew what that meant. Now at age 90, he’s gone viral again in recent days but not for his music – for fans’ concerns about his health.

A viral video of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer taken at his Aug. 3 concert near San Jose, California, appeared to show him having difficulty climbing a short flight of stairs to make it on the stage and struggling to lip sync to the song “Grease,” at times standing motionless while the vocal track and the backing band played.

Fans are leaving comments on the clip on all social media platforms expressing concerns about everything from his health to worries that he’s being pushed to perform against his will.
