SUN CITY - Frank Timothy Roach Jr., born July 3, 1931, passed away July 6, 2011. Born and raised in Swampscott, Mass., he served 4 years in the Air Force during the Korean War. He moved to southern California in 1958, where he went to work for RCA. He retired to Sun City from Los Angeles in 1986 after 28 Years with RCA Dist. as West Coast Warehouse Manager. He became a Posse member almost immediately in Sun City. Then on to golfing, playing two rounds of 18 sometimes, joined 3 bowling leagues, Shuffleboard, Canasta club, Cribbage & Bridge. For years he belonged to the old Men's Club at Oakmont. A favorite in the last years was the Exercise group at Oakmont. He talked to everyone and made friends everywhere. He had a memory for jokes and stories and told them everywhere and to everyone. Many said their day started after he left them with his humor. His Sun City nametag read "Did you hear the one about?.... FRANK ROACH" He always left them with a joke and a smile. He is survived by his wife Phyllis of 35 years; his daughter, Debra; Phyllis' sons, Kim Crockett, Marc Crockett, wife Debbie, and Todd Crockett, wife Elaine; Frank's nephews, James Manchin, wife Christy, Timothy Manchin, wife Valarie, and Thomas Manchin, wife Betty Ann; his stepson, George Clark, wife Barbara.; and grandchildren, Tracy, Brenda, Raymond, Crystal, Kevin, Andrew and Kaitlyn. He belonged to the American Legion and was a life member of the Elks. Since retirement, he attended St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church.
