Frances “Fran” Roti Wagner, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2025, surrounded by the family she cherished and who cherished her right back. Born in Evanston, Illinois, Fran was the first child of Mary and Samuel Roti—a spirited, bright soul from the very beginning. She often said that God danced the day she was born, and everyone who knew her believed it. Her life was marked by curiosity, resilience, humor, and a deep well of love for her family, her faith, and the many children she taught over the years. Fran is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, William Wagner; her beloved sons Daniel (Julie) Wagner and Michael (Kani) Wagner; and her six treasured grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her later years. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, wit, and wisdom—memories of stories told, lessons taught, and love shared. Fran’s life was a celebration of everyday miracles, a reflection of her belief that love endures beyond time.
