The Four Peaks Women’s Club congregated at Sky Harbor to welcome back veterans from an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.
Club members Shirley Serey, Beth Maschoff, Virginia Bull, Rosemary Bonaguidi accompanied by her husband, Russell, Barb Hansen and Linda Huchel met the veterans at the airport on April 23, according to a press release.
Honor Flights are made up of veterans from all military services. The flights take veterans to Washington, D.C., to view the memorials for wars that U.S. veterans have served. Serey, who is the chair of Youth for Troops, a project of the Four Peaks Women’s Club, welcomed the main leaders of the returning group of veterans with a check.
