Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers
Opened: April 13, 2023
Location: 1220 N. Dysart Road
Raising Cane’s, a Baton Rouge-based fast-food chain known for its chicken fingers, opened its first location in Goodyear this April. The wildly popular fast-food chain had a ribbon-cutting by Mayor Joe Pizzillo during their grand opening. The chain also gave away giveaway merchandise and free Raising Cane’s for a year.
Playmakers Sports Bar & Grill
Opened: Feb. 26, 2023
Location: 55 N. Litchfield Road
Playmakers Sports Bar & Grill is a new locally owned and operated sports bar and grill in the Best Western hotel on Litchfield Road just south of Van Buren. The restaurant has traditional foods like wings, pizzas and burgers, but none of the crowding. The spot also has a growing karaoke scene Friday nights.
Tropical Smoothie Café
Opened: Feb. 14, 2023
Location: 831 S. Cotton Lane, Suite F6
In addition to smoothies, the cafe offers sandwiches, wraps, salads and flatbreads. In 2017 they introduced bowls to their food line and vegan options for protein choices. They offer superfood, classic, indulgent and supercharged smoothies, along with supplements that may be added to each smoothie.
Country Griddle
Opened: Jan. 30, 2023
Location: 330 N. Dysart Road, Suite 101
Country Griddle is south of the Interstate 10, west of the Northwest corner of Van Buren and Dysart. The locally owned restaurant touts a homestyle breakfast and lunch. It is an excellent spot to get some country flavors and food with Portuguese flair.
