Four finalists for next Phoenix police chief answer questions at forum

The four finalists to become Phoenix’s next police chief answered questions about the job during a public forum Wednesday night.

The candidates are Phoenix Interim Police Chief Michael Sullivan, who has headed the department since September 2022, Phoenix Assistant Chief Ed DeCastro, Oakland (California) Police Deputy Chief Casey Johnson and Mesa Police Assistant Chief Ed Wessing.

City council plans to select a new chief sometime in April.
