Fountain Hills Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Cain Jagodzinski has announced his decision to retire at the end of the 2025-26 academic year, with June 30 planned as his final day on the job.
Dr. Jagodzinski made his announcement in an email sent to FHUSD families and staff Thursday afternoon, Jan. 29, saying the decision had been made after many “heartfelt conversations” with his family.
“I have dedicated my entire career to public education, and I say with sincerity that I have cherished every moment of it,” Jagodzinski said in the announcement. “As I close this chapter of my professional life, I plan to remain a fixture of the community – particularly through my involvement with local service clubs – as I look forward to finding a project I am passionate about and continuing to work for the benefit of Fountain Hills.”
