Fountain Hills student receives P.E.O. STAR scholarship

Denise Sommerschield, a senior at Fountain Hills High School, was recently selected to receive the STAR scholarship from Philanthropic Educational Organization. She was recommended by P.E.O. Chapter EZ of Mesa.

The P.E.O. STAR scholarship was established in 2009 to provide scholarships to exceptional high school women who exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success, according to a press release.
