After discussing, over several weeks, exactly how it will make budget reductions, the Fountain Hills Unified School District board and superintendent have decided how to address some of the shortfall.
The district’s Governing Board voted unanimously at its March 5 meeting to eliminate 14 full-time and one half-time certified staff positions from its 2025-26 budget. This will make significant progress toward what Superintendent Cain Jagodzinski called the “magic number” of $1.5 million in savings.
“I really wanted the number of positions eliminated to be zero,” Jagodzinski said at the meeting. “I am pleased that we have at least one position within to offer to most of the 15 people affected by this.”
