Fountain Hills council will consider English as official language

Proposed resolution will come back for vote

The Fountain Hills Town Council will consider whether to establish English as the official language for government business in the community.

Vice Mayor Allen Skillicorn suggested the resolution in keeping with an executive order by President Donald Trump, and it is consistent with the Arizona Constitution’s provision for English as the official language.

“I think this is a good idea to codify President Trump’s order for English as the official language,” Skillicorn said.
