Forrest W. Goercke, 87Forrest W. Goercke, 87, of Apache Junction, went home to his Lord on Dec. 11, 2007. He was born in Menomonie, Wis., to Harry and Fannie Goercke. He served his country in World War II as an light weapons battalion leader. He received numerous medals and honors.He made his home for the last 30 years in Apache Junction.He is preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, Madelyn; brothers, George, Robert, Norman and Stanley; and his wife of 25 years, Amy.He is survived by his sister, Darleen; his wife of 7 1/2 years, Ida; daughters, Vonnie (Mike) Arellano of California, and Cynthia Mountainflower of Alaska; stepchildren, Joyce, Linda, John, June, Jim and Jerry; numerous nieces and nephews; grandsons Capt. Rob (Pam) Chatham of Turkey, Rick Chatham of Washington and Jeremiah (Camie) Stephen of Alaska; granddaughters, Quyana and Jubilee Mountainflower of Alaska; two great-grandchildren and numerous step-grand- and great-grandchildren.
