Former Scottsdale Circle K manager’s $12.8M lottery dispute heads to court

Robert Gawlitza said he believes he followed a convenience store’s policy by claiming a $12.8 million winning lottery ticket that was left behind by the person who purchased it in November at a Scottsdale Circle K.

He is going to court to prove it.

"I believe the truth will come out. I'm confident that once all of the evidence is presented, the jury will see that I followed Circle K's own policies and that the ticket was lawfully purchased,” Gawlitza said in response to an email question.
