Brent Skoglund to serve probation after pleading guilty to stealing town funds

Paradise Valley’s former public works director has been sentenced in connection with the misappropriation of $10,000 in public funds.

On Monday, Brent Skoglund, who worked for the town for more than 24 years before his retirement in 2023, was sentenced to three years of probation, three months of deferred jail time and ordered to pay the town of Paradise Valley $19,219 in restitution, according to documents from the Superior Court of Maricopa County.
