Former Paradise Valley council member and mayor James David Hann died in September at the age of 91. His family is hosting a celebration of his life on Jan. 7 at The Church of the Beatitudes.
Hann served a total of four years on the Town Council from 1992 to 1996, working as mayor in the first two years and council member in the remaining years.
Town Manager Jill Keimach said in an email that Hann’s children and grandchildren came to town to pay respects by leading the Town Council in the Pledge of Allegiance.
