Former Glendale resident charged in alleged schemes to defraud Medicare, Medicaid

A former Glendale resident faces criminal charges in connection with alleged schemes to defraud Medicare, Medicaid and other federal healthcare programs.

The charges filed in federal court are part of the Department of Justice’s 2026 National Health Care Fraud Takedown.

Jimmy Muyumbu, 38, formerly of Glendale, was charged by indictment with conspiracy to commit healthcare fraud and wire fraud, conspiracy to launder money and money laundering in connection with an alleged scheme involving a substance abuse treatment clinic in Arizona that billed Arizona Medicaid over $44 million, according to a release from the Arizona district of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
