Forest official: Fire restrictions coming soon across Arizona

State on pace for record drought, dangerous fire season

As temperatures soar across a drought-ridden Arizona this week to reach a forecast triple-digit swelter, forest officials are preparing to announce the first round of sweeping fire restrictions of the year.

As of Tuesday, that fire had burned more than 4,400 acres.
