The holiday season in America is a time for families to reconnect, enjoy the company of loved ones and most often become reminded of what really matters in our busy lives a part of the human race.

No matter religious persuasion, the rapid approach to a New Year with a change in season can become a magical time for any young person who calls the Valley of the Sun home.

Children from all walks of life know this is the big show, the big enchilada --- a special time for us all. But there are children, here in the Valley, who feel lost, without a place they believe to be home and some of then are dealing with the effects of trauma while living in an unfamiliar surrounding.
