Foothills Caring Corps launches Summer Caring Caravan

Caravan to deliver goody bags to neighbors in need

Foothills Caring Corps is set to enchant the Foothills community with an event called the Summer Caring Caravan 8–11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 7.

Thanks to the generous donation of gift cards from the Albertsons Foundation/Safeway Stores, the organization aims to extend a helping hand to neighbors in need, according to a press release. Volunteers will assemble goody bags filled with homemade treats and other surprises and gift cards to deliver them to approximately 100 neighbors across designated routes.

Carefree Mayor John Crane and a representative from Albertsons/Safeway will also be present to make this initiative more special. Join in spreading care throughout the community, the release stated.
