Flu and cold season sees spike in cases in Maricopa County

Anyone feeling under the weather with cold and flu symptoms in the Valley isn’t alone.

About 60% to 70% of daily patients coming into the Banner downtown Phoenix urgent care are complaining of some sort of respiratory illness, said Samia Kadri, family nurse practitioner.

COVID-19 along with cold and flu cases have also increased, she said.
