While school districts around the state are struggling to staff classrooms, the Florence Unified School District is working hard to defy the odds.
According to a survey by the Arizona School Personnel Administrators, 2023 marked the seventh consecutive year that more than 25% of teacher vacancies across the state remained unfilled. In terms of salary, the National Education Association reports that the average teacher salary in Arizona is $56,775, putting the state at No. 32 in the nation for teacher pay.
