Rise in work-from-home spurs changes

With the pandemic, home businesses are growing, and the Florence Town Council approved changes in zoning that redefine business that operate from homes at its Monday, March 15, meeting.

The town of Florence’s Planning and Zoning Commission met on Nov. 5 and Dec. 3, 2020, to discuss a draft development code amendment to update the current definition of “home occupation.”

The Town Council passed the measure unanimously with no discussion.
