George Thompson Robertson, 91, left his home in Florence on Thursday, Sept. 23, to pick up medication at a pharmacy. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Robertson left his home at 11 a.m. and when he did not return by 9 p.m. his wife called the Florence Police Department.
“Through electronic means, eventually we ended up finding his vehicle in a wash. It was just south of the I-10 and it was stuck inside the wash,” said Florence Police Chief Bruce Walls. “So, we had our partners in La Paz County go out and look at the vehicle and actually go ahead and do a search of that area. They did a search on that area on foot and on ATV. We also had a helicopter go up and do a 25-mile search of that area and we also sent out our detectives to go out and do a search.”
