Town council approves of zoning changes

Marijuana businesses are being welcomed in Florence after the city changed its approach to where they could locate.

The town of Florence is eager to take advantage of the sales tax revenue from legal marijuana dispensaries, and councilors asked city staff to draw up a set of codes that will make such sales more permissible throughout the city.
