Fixes to 163rd Avenue in Surprise wrapping up this month

City restricting lanes while final work finishes

Final road improvements along 163rd Avenue in northwest Surprise are wrapping up this month, which is just one in several steps in alleviating the overall traffic problem in the Asante area.

City transportation officials said the 163rd Avenue Improvement Project is currently finishing up with final paving, temporary striping and utility adjustments.

The city has put lane restrictions in place along 163rd from Grand Avenue to Happy Valley Road through Nov. 21.
