First group of Chandler mayoral, council candidates file for 2026

Both incumbent Chandler City Council members, along with two challengers, have filed statements of intent with City Clerk Dana DeLong to run for council in 2026. Two Chandler residents — one who is a longtime council member — have filed to run for mayor next year.

Now that some of the dust has settled in a public debate over who can run for Chandler mayor and council and when, a list of candidates has emerged for who’ll likely be campaigning for one of those offices in 2026.

Both incumbent Chandler City Council members, along with two challengers, have filed statements of intent with City Clerk Dana DeLong to run for council in 2026.

Two Chandler residents — one of whom is a longtime council member — have filed to run for mayor next year.
