Apache Junction and Gold Canyon voters will decide in a mail-only ballot Election Day Nov. 4 if Superstition Fire and Medical District can issue bonds to provide funds to construct, renovate, improve, equip and furnish fire stations and other district facilities, acquire apparatus, vehicles and equipment, and other costs.
The first batch of counted ballots for the election are in. Unofficial initial results posted at 8:02 p.m. in Pinal County with 0% of precincts reporting and about 8 p.m. in Maricopa County with 18.18%% of precincts reporting, are:
• Yes, 7,785 in Pinal County plus 18 in Maricopa County for a total of 7,803.
