Fire damages 10 Scottsdale garbage trucks

Several garbage trucks, which run on compressed natural gas, caught fire and were damaged at Scottsdale’s North Corporate Yard, fire department officials say.

Both Scottsdale and Phoenix fire departments responded to the fire at approximately 3:35 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3, SFD Public Information Officer Adam Hoster said.

Upon arrival, officials say, six trash trucks, that run on compressed natural gas, were on fire with damage to another four trucks.
