Finding school funding: Growing districts struggle to land state money amid changes

When the current school year kicked off at Crismon High School in Queen Creek, students began posting cell phone photos on social media showing hallways and a staircase clogged with students.

The school added an 11th grade this year and the student population hit about 1,700, up from 1,000 the previous year when the school opened its doors for the first time.
