"We believe pervasive health issues stand in the way of people building, maintaining and enjoying wealth in life," Ken Blanchard, an Edward Jones principal, said.
Blanchard, who began the firm's food drive in Arizona and spearheads the Bag-A-Thon planning committee added: "We work to promote the financial and emotional well-being of those impacted by health issues, so each person can live an enriching life. We are promoting healthier futures by providing nutritious foods to Arizonans facing hunger."
Here is what is most needed:
Canned meat, peanut butter
Milk-canned/dried
Canned fruit and vegetables
Soups, stews, chili, beans
Rice and pasta
