Final prep being done for West Valley shooter trial

A pre-trial conference is set for a Surprise man police said was responsible for killing one and injuring 12 others in a northwest Valley shooting spree in June 2021.

Ashin Tricarico is scheduled to appear at the conference at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 20 at Maricopa County Superior Court in Phoenix, according to court records.

The trial is set to start at 9 a.m. Feb. 27, court records said.
